About this event

Schedule: September 20-22 (Friday to Sunday)

Friday: Arrive whenever you are able to get there. Campground check-in opens at 2pm and check-out is 12pm. Low key hangout evening, eat if you want, fire pit, etc.

Saturday: Wake up, breakfast, and start our ride in DuPont around 10. We will be driving to the parking area within DuPont for this ride and it takes approximately 20 minutes to drive there from the campground, so we will aim to leave around 9:30am. No drop, fun intermediate ride. Anyone who wants to explore more of DuPont is free to do so after our ride. Alternatively, you can hang out, play in the river, go for a hike, nap in a hammock (bring your own, none there).

Sunday: Wake up, breakfast, pack up as needed. More time for riding for those that desire to and have time. The ride route for Sunday is still TBD, route pending but will be an intermediate gravel route. This ride will take place in Pisgah and leave from the campground.

Additional ride notes:
You will be riding in the mountains of NC, these rides will be geared towards the intermediate gravel rider. There will be climbing and DuPont’s Pinnacle Mtn road can be very rutted out and include large rocks. This will be the most difficult part of the DuPont route but I guarantee it is a lot of fun and we will ensure everyone can safely navigate this road and regroup as needed during the climb. Here is the Strava link: https://strava.app.link/2F5zUnRf7Lb

The Pisgah ride will probably be about the same elevation if not more, unfortunately Pisgah is just a lot of hill. However the beauty of this ride is that it has the opportunity to stop at many attractions and waterfalls! This route may also be shorter than the DuPont route for the sake of time and elevation. This will also be a no-drop fun ride with stops along the way to regroup and take in the beautiful surroundings! Once I have the route finalized I will share the link.
