This is a steady/social/adventurous 1-1.5 hour mountain bike ride (~7-9 miles) for Sorella Members only! The course is considered to be an intermediate trail with some technical climbs (~500-650 feet of elevation); however, Samantha will be taking slow (6-7mph), if and when needed. This ride is super fun and a great opportunity to be in the heart of nature on two wheels! There are tons of deer sightings and you can hear the trickling of the Chattahoochee flowing through the trail. There will be stops for to take a drink and dependent on ride attendees, we can meet for dinner after!

21-mile route, aiming for 14-15 mph. This weekly ride is a great ride to improve your climbing skills and step outside of your comfort zone with a supportive group of women. The ride is a mix of social (between the hills) and hard (4-5 pretty good) climbs. We cover ~1,880 feet of elevation gain. We will regroup at the top of the climbs. This ride is designed for experienced riders, comfortable riding in a group, with some light traffic on hills. After the ride there is a group that usually grabs dinner at nearby local restaurant.

For all of you that may be interested in a ride to beautiful Lake Lanier, this is the ride for you! We will start at the downtown Buford area, where there is always a bunch of free parking available. We will head to the lake and back for a total distance of around 27 miles. The pace is around 16-17 mph with a total of about 1000’ of climbing. The traffic is moderate, so we will want to have good road riding etiquette. There will be an opportunity for the ride to regroup if necessary. This ride is open to Sorella‘s, friends of Sorella‘s and Sorella fellas who are comfortable riding at Sorella pace.

21 mile route with about 1,550 ft of elevation aiming for 14+mph. This bi-weekly ride is a great way to start the week strong with great intervals and some climbing. This ride is a fun mix of different energies: social on smaller roads, hard on hills and focused/single file on busy stretches. We will regroup at regular intervals to accommodate different paces. It is a great ride for intermediate and experienced riders and requires group riding skills. This is a women’s focused ride but open to Sorella’s fellas and friends who are comfortable riding at Sorella group pace.

Serenbe, near the Halsa Restaurant.
Thu, Jun 5, 2025 at 9:30 AM
Do you work afternoons or evenings and can ride in the morning? Are you retired, aren‘t working or just want to play hookie for the day? Then join us on this Spicy gravel ride out of Serenbe the first Thursday of the month (January - May).
Rides vary between 30 to 62 miles. Routes will be posted in advance (please download them). These rides regroup, so having the route on your computer is highly recommended, especially on the longer routes.
Rides will start with shorter routes and at a "winter pace" (high 12 mph - low 13 mph) and gradually increase through the spring to longer distances and an average of 13.5 - 14 mph. We ride in cold (because we warm up quickly!), and sometimes in the wet (because weather happens). Occasionally I may need to change the date due to extreme weather or personal obligations, and, occasionally we may switch the location (just to mix it up), so check the calendar.
Expectations: Ability & experience in riding gravel and single track with varying conditions and obstacles, to have a bicycle (gravel/mtb/cross) suitable for these conditions and properly maintained, to carry emergency repair supplies (tubes/air/plugs or patches/multi use tool, cell phone), and the ability to chat and laugh along the way. This is a ride, not a race, so we take care of each other!
Non-members are required to register to sign the required waiver (if the waiver is not "up", just register). OR, make it simple and become a member by signing up on our webpage! Park near the Halsa Restaurant. There are public restrooms next to Halsa. Betsy is always open to having lunch or coffee at the Halsa afterward, or at one of the other new cafes nearby afterward!!!
Sorella Fella‘s are welcome on this ride! (A S/F is one of the riders guys whom she wants to bring along). *Expectations for S/F‘s, ride OUR pace, generally as a sweeper.

Fun filled weekend of playing bikes and paddling on Lake Harding. Friday night will kick off with an evening paddle on the lake - stand up paddle, kayak or canoe (that won‘t tip over). Saturday we will be mountain biking on the Standing Boy trails nearby. (But if there is enough interest, Teresa can arrange for a gravel ride leader for anyone not wanting to mountain bike.) Early morning and afternoon we will have more time to get on the Lake. Saturday night will be a short and easy ride on the Riverwalk trail to watch fireworks and a concert at Fort Moore (bring lights and a small chair or towel to sit on + a backpack to carry these items on your bike). Early Sunday morning we can get back on the lake and then take an Easy gravel ride from Teresa‘s house before heading home.
The weekend menu will be pot luck - everyone please bring food to share. Teresa will send out a sign-up sheet closer to the event.
Teresa has plenty of beds but please bring your own sheets and towels.

Come join Jackie for a casual ride of the single track trails at Brown’s Mill Battlefield in Newnan. MTB ATL marks 2 of the 3 trails as intermediate loops, but they are all flowy with nothing technical beyond small roots and a few turns with berms. There are 6 miles of trails in the park, and we will reverse directions on the main outer loop for those that wish to get in a longer ride with different approaches. Meet in the parking lot. (Bathrooms are available).
