Currently looking good at 7am Sunday. Let’s plan to roll at 7(ish)!!!
***Check back Saturday evening for status update if weather does not cooperate.***
Come join us for awesome graveling in Arnoldsville (near Watkinsville - south of Athens). The gravel is generally very nice, not too technical, with lots of fun rollers. Route will vary each month, as there are many options out there, but a file will be posted a week ahead so you can download to your bike computer.
45 Miles, expect ~14/mph.

Starting earlier for summer to get out of the heat and humidity sooner. It‘s been very warm out so bring extra hydration and food, more than you think you will need. The route has trees for shade, but there is quite a bit of full on sun. Option to add on miles if you like, or cut shorter by doing an out and back.
Parking is on Old Martin Rd just off of Wolfskin Rd. No fee to park. Hang out after and grab a bite to eat at Wire Park just a short drive away. Bring a friend, invited fellas welcome!
Registration is recommended so I know who will be joining.
Floyd Rd. trailhead/Comet Trail Cycles
Starting from Comet Trail Cycles/Floyd Ride (mile 4.2) this ride is an out and back on the flat Silver Comet Trail. Target distances are 22, 32 and 54 miles – but with an out and back route you can easily adjust to the distance that will work for you. The ride is open to Sorellas, fellas and friends, and is definitely beginner friendly. Be ready to roll at 8:30 AM.
Jarrod‘s Place is Georgia‘s very own bike park! With a shuttle service to take you to the top so you can spend more time enjoying the downhill. There are plenty of green, blue and black runs to keep a variety of skill levels entertained, but you will need to be at least intermediate and a full suspension mountain bike is recommended, which can be rented there.
E. Rivers Elementary School
21-mile route, aiming for 14-15 mph. This weekly ride is a great ride to improve your climbing skills and step outside of your comfort zone with a supportive group of women. The ride is a mix of social (between the hills) and hard (4-5 pretty good) climbs. We will regroup at the top of the climbs. This ride is designed for experienced riders, comfortable riding in a group, with some light traffic on hills. After the ride there is a group that usually grabs dinner at nearby local restaurant.
